Why this trade, specifically
Nobody fills a four-hour gap at two hours' notice. That is the difference between a missed haircut and a missed session, and it is why deposits stopped being optional in this trade long before anyone built software for it.

The part that pays for it
It asks for the money, tells them how to send it by Whish or OMT, and holds the time for a day. If it doesn't arrive, the slot goes back on the board by itself — you don't have to chase anyone or remember to free it.
